Seyi Solagbade

Seyi began his music career in the early 80’s in the Choir, being the son of a Shepherd, it was incumbent that he assisted his Father in contributing to the growth of the parish. A multi-instrumentalist, Seyi was formally trained as a musicologist by Dr. Wole Adetiran of the CCC Central Choir, he became an integral part of the Choir for over a decade. He was instrumental in the establishment of Bands like Fortified Spiritual and the Black Face Band. His music is a blend of Afro fusion, jazz, hi-life and juju, which he calls Palongo. Seyi has several albums to his credit, popular amongst them been “No King as God”, “Black Face”, “Bamijo” and “Pagadiri”.
